I AM

From Genesis to Revelation, the Lord refers to himself as "I AM". When he speaks of Himself like this, it's important that we pay close attention!

When He refers to Himself as "I AM", he is taking about all His greatness. He is talking about His vastness; how HUGE he actually is. he is referring to the power He holds that is far beyond any human or spiritual being to contain or understand. And ye,t when He calls Himself "I AM" it is always for OUR BENEFIT!!! Even as I wrote this devotional, I had to take a moment and cry. Such amazing love is overpowering and I must repent again for allowing fear, doubt and selfishness to interfere with faith and trust in such a loving God and Father. A few months ago I woke up with these words shouting in my head over and over again, as if the Lord was driving this in my being to the "knowing" of this TRUTH.

What ever you are going through right now, cling to these words and speak them out loud in faith into your situation. Listed below, are scriptures that the Lord declares that he is "I AM".

Meditate on them.

GENESIS 15:1 1 After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. ( I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”) GENESIS 15:7 7 Then He said to him, ( “I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.” ) EXODUS 3:14 14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” ISAIAH 41:4 4 Who has performed and done it, Calling the generations from the beginning? ( ‘I, the LORD, am the first; And with the last I am He.’ ” ) ISIAIH 60:16 16 You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles, And milk the breast of kings; You shall know that I, the LORD, am your Savior And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. This next scripture is something else, this is when they came to get Him in the garden to arrest Him, when He says I AM HE they fell to the ground BOOM! They could not stand in His presence. JOHN 18:6 Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground. JOHN 8:58 58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” "I am the bread of life" (John 6:35,48,51). "I am the light of the world" (John 8:12). "I am the door of the sheep"(John 10:7,9). "I am the good shepherd" (John 10:11,14). "I am the resurrection, and the life" (John 11:25). "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). "I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death" (Revelation 1:18) "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending" (Revelation 1:8). "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last" (Revelation 1:11). "Fear not; I am the first and the last" (Revelation 1:17). "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end" (Revelation 21:6). "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last" (Revelation 22:13). "I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star"(Revelation 22:16).

We are in great need of God in this nation for healing, and it all begins right here. We must acknowledge HIM as the great I AM who is able to do all things, and that is what we his people will do.

Prayer Lord, my prayer today is Exodus 15:26, and 2 Chronicles 7:14. I speak these scriptures over Your people and this Country. Show Yourself faithful as THE GREAT I AM! Show us in our every day lives, even in the little things. Show our nation beyond a shadow of a doubt WHO YOU ARE!! Grant us repentance and rescue us. Give us this gift of faith that shakes us to the core as we sit back and watch you do wonders.

EXODUS 15:26 26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.” 2 CHRONICLES 7:14 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
