REPENT - RETURN - RECEIVE

Today's Devotion is about the body of Christ repenting, returning and ultimately being restored to our rightful place, so that we can begin receiving the blessings of God.

Right now, we are at a place in the body of Christ where God is granting us REPENTANCE! He is saying RETURN to me, your first love, and I will pour out a blessing on you so great you cannot imagine it - that is truly RECIEVING from God!

There is a battle for your SOUL (your mind, will and emotions/affections).

When we are damaged in our soul, Satan has legal access to steal, kill and destroy in our lives. Because of this, it's very important for us to allow the Lord to heal these areas in our life/soul that have been damaged.

First things first - let’s talk about soul wounds. These wounds keep us from receiving fully from God because of the damage and fear. Soul wounds cause us not to believe or trust God. Only you know the traumas that have taken place in your life, some of these may be hidden from you. Often, we suppress hurts, but still act out as a result of them. To fully know the depth of your soul wounds, all you need to do is ask the Holy Spirit to reveal them to you, that way you can address that hurt in your life.

I’m going to list a few common hurts below. As you read them, allow the Holy Spirit to reveal any hurts that affect you personally, even if they aren't on this list. You fill in the blanks:

Death of a loved one or animal Abuse of any kind Divorce Disappointments Rejection, abandonment, betrayal, feeling in adequate Lack of anything especially money and love Hatred Un-forgiveness Bitterness Deceit Lying Stealing Cheating of any kind adultery Fornication/all sexual sin Addictions

etc.

When we are damaged or wounded in our soul, if we make any unrighteousness judgment(s) on what happened, Satan then has the legal access to steal, kill and destroy in our lives. We then start reaping what was sown in that judgment. It SUCKS, I know! BUT that's why it is so important for you to allow Jesus to heal your soul! The truth is, when your soul gets healing, EVERYTHING else will follow suit. EVERYTHING! (SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY)

Matthew 16:26 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own SOUL? Or what will a man give in exchange for his SOUL?

Psalm 103:1-5 1 Bless the LORD, O my SOUL; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my SOUL, And forget not all His BENEFITS: 3 Who forgives all your INIQUITIES , Who HEALS all your DISEASES , 4 Who REDEEMS your life from DESTRUCTION, Who crowns you with LOVINGKINDNESS and tender MERCIES, 5 Who SATISFIES your mouth with GOOD THINGS, So that your youth is RENEWED like the eagle’s.

GRANTED REPENTANCE

2 Timothy 2:24-26 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will GRANT them REPENTANCE, so that they may KNOW the TRUTH, 26 and that they may come to their senses and ESCAPE the snare of the devil, having been taken CAPTIVE by him to do his will.

Do you sense areas in your life where you have been wounded or damaged? Are there places in your heart that have been taken captive and you are acting and reacting out of those hurts? In some cases, you have become a slave to certain sins because of this very thing!

James 5:15-16 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

The good news is, there's HOPE! Because of the Father's great love for us, and what the blood of Jesus did for us at the cross - His redemption has provided the way of escape. To fully accept this sacrifice and claim our healing, we must repent of our sins, and in this case, judgements. We then are at liberty to ask God to cleanse our soul and heal any wounds we have held on to!

DREAM 1

"CRAP HAPPENS"

Years ago, the Lord gave me a dream about the cleansing power of Jesus. In this dream, I was walking and someone picked up a shovel and threw mud and horse crap all over me. It stunned me! Why would someone do that? I went inside and cleaned myself up, but when I walked outside it happened again!

When I woke up, my spirit was grieved. I asked the Lord for discernment about what this dream meant and He said to me, "in life, crap happens to us; but Jesus is the cleansing water to wash it all away!" Isn't that awesome!?

RETURN TO HIM The Lord is calling out to us right now saying, "Returned to me! Return to me! Return to me!"

Zechariah 1:3 3 Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the LORD of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the LORD of host

Joel 2:13 13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.

Jeremiah 4:1 1 “If you will return, O Israel,” says the LORD, “Return to Me; And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, Then you shall not be moved.

DREAM 2 "NOT WANTING TO SEE THE TRUTH" - OCT. 20, 2016

In this dream, I saw a woman happily taking care of her children. I had an innate sense that she was a good mother. The woman had a rouge husband who suddenly appeared and lured her away from her children. He was a murderer by trade. In my dream, he seduced her and she believed his lies that he had changed and was no longer an assassin. Her best friend cornered him at a party one night and told him to tell her the truth, but of course, he refused.

Some time later, the woman was at home washing clothes. While removing clothes from the dryer, she noticed an object of her husbands that he used to store his weapons. Shocked, she quickly turned around and began to have a vision. In front of her stood an elderly woman she highly respected, who had died some time ago. The elderly woman began to speak to her, "You know the truth. You know he is still a killer, but have refused to believe it because you didn’t want to accept it. You preferred to live in deception, because you didn't want to believe this was still there."

AS FOR YOU AND I, WE KNOW IT'S STILL THERE AND GOD IS TELLING US ITS TIME TO DEAL WITH IT!

IT'S TIME TO TO REPENT AND RETURN TO GOD!

Note: In this dream, the woman represents the body of Christ, the rogue husband represents Satan, the best friend represents Jesus and the elderly woman she sees in the vision represents the Holy Spirit revealing truth.

RECEIVE HIS BLESSINGS

The story of the prodigal son is truly a reflection of the Fathers heart toward us. No matter how terribly we choose to live our lives or what horrible sins we commit, there is always a do-over with God. That do-over will be available as long as we have breath in our lungs. He is waiting with open arms to receive us, that He may kiss us, bless us and put a robe and a ring upon us, and celebrate us returning to him.

Luke 15:17-24 17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ 20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.

PRAYER:

God Almighty! There is no end to your mercy and great love for us! Grant us this repentance, to return, and receive. Father I ask you of those who read this and myself to hear these words of yours that we will pour their heart and soul out to you and allow you to heal these wounds in their soul that we may be free in spirit, soul and physical bodies to receive our inheritance of your many abundant and extravagant blessings May it be so in Jesus name. Amen.
